Our Journey in Financial Education

Since 2019, we've been helping Korean businesses master activity-based budgeting through practical, real-world training that actually works in today's market.

The Problem We Solved

Back in 2018, I was consulting for a mid-sized manufacturing company in Busan. They had spreadsheets everywhere, budget meetings that lasted hours, and nobody could explain why their financial projections were consistently off by 20-30%.

That's when I realized most Korean businesses were using outdated budgeting methods designed for different economic conditions. Activity-based budgeting wasn't just theory – it was the missing piece that could help companies allocate resources based on actual business activities rather than historical guesswork.

So we started castfluxdriftripple to bridge that gap. Not with complicated software or expensive consultants, but through education that business owners could actually understand and implement.

What We Believe

Financial planning shouldn't require a PhD in accounting. Korean businesses need practical budgeting skills that work in real situations – during supply chain disruptions, when launching new products, or when economic conditions shift unexpectedly.

We believe in teaching methods you can actually use on Monday morning, not theoretical frameworks that look good on paper but fall apart in practice.

How We Help

We focus on activity-based budgeting because it makes sense for how modern businesses actually operate. Instead of copying last year's numbers and adding 5%, you learn to budget based on the specific activities that drive your costs and revenue.

Our training programs are built around real Korean business scenarios – managing seasonal fluctuations, dealing with supplier cost changes, and planning for market expansion.

The People Behind Your Training

Founder & Chief Budget Strategist

Elena Fridriksson

Elena started her career in corporate finance at Samsung, where she discovered how traditional budgeting methods struggled with rapid business changes. After 8 years helping Korean companies implement activity-based systems, she founded castfluxdriftripple to share these practical skills with business owners who needed them most. She still works directly with manufacturing and service companies to test new training approaches.

Our Teaching Approach

We've refined our methods over 6 years of working with Korean businesses to create training that's both practical and immediately applicable.

Real Business Scenarios

Every lesson uses actual case studies from Korean companies. You'll work through budgeting challenges that mirror what you face in your own business – seasonal demand changes, supplier negotiations, new product launches, and economic uncertainty.

We don't use generic examples from textbooks. Instead, you'll see how a Daegu textile company managed their budget during the 2022 supply chain crisis, or how a Seoul restaurant group planned their expansion using activity-based methods.

This approach helps you understand not just the theory, but how to adapt these methods to your specific industry and business situation.
